Releases doc-link™ 2.6 Laguna Hills, CA – October 31, 2008 – Altec Products, Inc., a leading provider of integrated document management and workflow solutions to small- to mid-market companies, announced today the release of doc-link version 2.6. The company's flagship product, doc-link provides seamless integration to popular mid-market financial accounting packages and allows for paperless processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales order processing and other accounting and non-accounting enterprise applications. With doc-link 2.6, users now have more functionality, flexibility, customization and software automation, helping to further streamline business processes. All users will now utilize the Smart Client for workflow, search and retrieval, giving all users the flexibility to log in from any workstation versus having to install the solution on their computers. This new release offers quite a few time-saving automation features to minimize redundant data entry and mouse clicks. The distribution stamps utilized in the workflow process are highly integrated with the individual accounting packages so that when a specific field is selected in the stamp, related fields are automatically populated with the vendor’s default values, as specified in the accounting package. Users can now also utilize the new Smart Forms feature to create their own stamp templates for recurring invoices, configured with all of the relevant distributions and amounts, for faster processing. For easier navigation and functionality, the doc-link viewer has been enhanced to include features like viewer thumbnails, a workflow toolbar and a Quick Inquiry tab. Thumbnails, showing individual pages in a document, can be displayed in the viewer, allowing users to easily locate specific pages in a document without having to page through the document. Users can move pages from one document to another by simply dragging the thumbnail to another document. By adding the workflow toolbar added to the viewer, users can send documents to the next workflow status right from the viewer, allowing for more streamlined processing of routine documents.
